When we played a concert with “Clasicos a lo cubano” in Havana 2019 we premiered this orchestra-piece, but in a string version. Here it is for full orchestra an cuban rhythm-section. Closer to the end, when the traditional son-part kicks in, the instrument-groups are given a improvised-sounding line with a lot of syncopations and poly-rhythmic deviations, but to be performed in unison as a section.
