This piece was commissioned by the juvenile tango-orchestra Tangueros del Norte. They had an orquesta tipica ensemble with 3 bandoneons, 3 violins, bass and piano. I wanted to make a piece that was as juicy as traditional tango for this ensemble, but also go in a new direction, trying to find where Piazzolla let go of the thread when he passed away, was my thought. .
